Material, texture and light

A product photograph is not always enough. A buyer may want to see the texture, how a material responds to light or how the product looks in a space. A short video can show this more clearly than a series of still images, provided it stays faithful to the product and does not suggest features it does not have.

At CopperAndCraft, I create this material for my own copper and brass products. I publish it on the CopperAndCraft YouTube channel and use it to present the range. That experience informs my service for other manufacturers and craft brands.

When product video is useful

Video can help when:

  • the product has a texture, reflection or detail that is difficult to capture in a photograph;
  • you want to show how it is used in a kitchen, living room or on a façade;
  • you are preparing material for social media or advertising;
  • you sell on Etsy or Shopify and want to add useful context to the listing.

It is not essential for a simple product already explained well by good photographs and descriptions. The guide to preparing product photographs for online sales covers that starting point.

What I can prepare

The service distinguishes three types of material:

  1. Product video — a short presentation of the material, details and use.
  2. AI-assisted advertising variants — versions of the same creative with a different opening, argument or call to action, with an optional voiceover or virtual presenter.
  3. Language versions — adaptation of an approved film into Polish, English or German, with French also available on request.

We start with one product and a clearly defined scope. The price depends on duration, the number of variants and languages, and the quality of the source material.

The limits of the service

  • I do not manage advertising campaigns or guarantee views or sales.
  • I do not generate features the product does not have. If an AI-generated sequence distorts an important detail, I replace it with a real photograph or recording.
  • I do not present a virtual presenter as a real customer.

This approach is explained in the product video and AI-assisted advertising service.

How this fits your shop or website

A well-prepared video can complement a listing in a Shopify shop or on Etsy. With a larger catalogue, it may make sense to organise descriptions and photographs first. See the guides to improving Etsy listings and moving a catalogue from Etsy to Shopify.

If you are still deciding between a shop and a website with an enquiry form, read Manufacturer website or Shopify shop? If repetitive catalogue work or enquiries are the main obstacle, explore the separate automation pilots.

A practical starting point

Product videos and short AI-assisted advertising creatives are useful when they show something a photograph explains less clearly: texture, light or use. Start with one product, reliable source material and an agreed scope.

Tell me which product you want to present and what photographs or recordings you already have. We agree the scope and price before work begins. Explore the product video service, browse the guides or read about business websites.
